(acoustic Duo Alishia Taiping & Dan Pieraccino)
a four piece hailing primarily from the 6th Borough, America’s Golden Door, Jersey City, includes members Alishia Taiping (lead vocals, bass) Dan Pieraccini (bass, keys, vocals), Peter Durning (guitar, harmonica) and AJ Zienowicz (drums, vocals). It’s been said, of all the things Forget the Whale has, a ‘sound’ is not one of them. It’s not that they have no sound: blues, rock, alternative, R&B, country, funk and nu-metal all become ingredients for Forget the Whale’s veritable witches’ brew. “Forget the Whale is the band to see,” was one auspicious comment that emerged from their debut showcase at Rolf’s Restaurant and Pub (Warren, NJ) in August of 2014. Since then, the four have taken their show on both banks of the Hudson, filling notable venues like The Bitter End in the Village, Lovecraft Bar, The Cutting Room, and Brooklyn’s Matchless Bar in New York, and Crossroads, 10th Street Live, Dingbatz, Dorrian's Red Hand, Hat City Kitchen, The South Orange Elk’s Lodge, Maplewoodstock, Downtown at Sundown, the Barrow Mansion, LITM, American Spirits Roadhouse, Park Tavern, Groove on Grove, the Dublin Pub, FM, Brightside Tavern, Departed Soles Brewery, and the Citizen in New Jersey. What makes Forget the Whale special? One new convert from Brooklyn said, “Every song is completely different. You never know what’s going to happen next.” Let’s find out.

Singer/Songwriter Phil Robinson is a popular performer in the NY metropolitan area. Whether alone, or with his high energy rock/gospel band, The Bliss Jockeys, Phil is known for his questing lyrics, soaring harmonica and songs which feature fun audience participation. If Bruce Springsteen, Cat Stevens, and mythologist Joseph Campbell all had a baby together, Phil would be that baby. His debut solo album, "Through The Middle", will be released later in the year, joining his already-recorded band album entitled, "The Birth of Bliss."

In addition to his career as a performer, Phil is also the founder of Roomful of Sky Records, for whom he has produced The Collected Lectures of Joseph Campbell as well as releases by other music and spoken word artists including famed storyteller Diane Wolkstein. Phil is also the founder and chief impresario of Roomful of Sky Music, for whom he's produced (and often starred in) hundreds of musical events and performances with a community focus, all around the NY-area, for the past 10 years. Can I get a "Hell yeah!"...!?!
